I am sure not everybody is a romantic nor is this a bad thing. It sounds like you have a very nice boyfriend. Him taking the time to show you romance is his way of telling you he cares.
He'd possibly be hurt to know that you found it boring or bothersome. So when he shows his way of caring find yourself being one of the lucky ones!!
Many women are the opposite wishing their boyfriends/husband were more romantic. I myself LOVE romance and try to add those "special touches" whenever possible. My husband is a romantic person also.
