I came across another job ad this morning for the city. As a city employee, I'd be part of a union. The benefits are great too. However, the pay scale is noted and the maximum salary is what I'm making now
So maybe it's best that I just stay put. But I'm not working these long nights anymore. I looked up the labor laws for my province and it is illegal for them to have me working so many hours. In a 24 hour period, it's the law that every worker needs 8 hours of consecutive rest time. That means if I start work at 8 am, I can't work past midnight. I will bring that to my boss's attention.
