				Gravy Recipes Anyone?
			 
			
			
			Does anyone have any really good gravy recipes?  I love hamburger gravy and  
		
		
		
		
		
		
			gravy from Fried Chicken. But those are about the only ones I ever make. If you can please share your ideas. Thanks

			What about mushroom gravy?  I fix a round steak, let it simmer till you darn near have to spoon it out and then make the gravy.  I don't know of a specific recipe, just watched Mom.   
		
		
		
		
		
		
			Put in just a little flour to soak up the drippings and then add a can of mushroom soup. Heat and stir until smooth. It's really good. I don't know of any other gravy recipes either. I bet you could find a bunch of them if you google.

			meat gravy and chicken gravy are about the only ones I ever make, except for sausage gravy which is made just like hamburger gravy. I use the patty sausage, not the link.  What makes it so great though, is that after you make sausage gravy, you get to put it on the homemade biscuits that I (or my mom) makes.  Mmmmmm! There's nothing like homemade biscuits and sausage gravy.   
		
		
		
		
		
		
			I have made red eye gravy, that is supposed to be eaten with ham. I didn't think it was anything too special, so I've never made it again. I do make roast gravy - I cook my roast in the over for several hours on 250 - then thicken the juices that form at the bottom of the pan - now that is GOOD!!!

			A friend fixed this once for me and I used it often when my kids were little.  It's called tuna gravy.  It's just a can of cream of mushroom soup with a small can of drained tuna added with about 3/4 of a can of milk (just use mushroom soup can to measure the milk).  You can adjust the milk to how thick you want your gravy.  Cook until this comes to a boil, stirring well.  This is very good served over biscuits, either homemade or ready to bake.

			Thanks everyone.  I am making myself hungry reading these.  When I was working nights at a factory, after I got off work a couple of girls and I went to this place next to the railroad called Liz's.  Oh my Goodness.  They had the best biscuits and gravy. 			You'll need to try the Backstreet Cafe when you come to Frankfort.  Their biscuits and sausage gravy are so good along with the fried potatoes.  Oh man...maybe I should go there in the morning...lol.
