We used to have XP but now have Windows Vista. And nope, don't know anything about it or why it changed. I'm so glad I was such a huge help to you!!!

I had the option when I bought my computer of xp or Vista because Vista was just coming out. I chose to stay with XP because it was rumored that Vista still had a lot of bugs to be worked out and I didn't want the frustration.

Sorry I have no wisdom to offer either.

I've never had it freeze up on me. I just got Windows Vista this year, this past spring I believe...No problems (knock on wood).

Now...Funny you started a thread on this as hubby's computer died last Saturday so yesterday installed Windows Vista on his new pc. (hmmmm NOT a good day!)...So far all is up and running smoothly.

Tink, thats what i had heard when vista first came out, i was standing in the pc store looking around, when i overheard a guy tell another lady that "it's got vista" but you could replace it with XP, so i wondered if it was still too new.

Sheryl, you are so bright for getting out of the way, and go shopping while they worked on your hubby's pc, it's sooooooooooo frustrating when they break down.

Oh no. That's not how it went. I was here. Hubby installed it here at the house with me still in it. LOL. I admit, I hid or atleast tried to. Life isn't good certain times when both hubby and I are working together on a frustrating project. One of which neither of us know a darn thing about. Talk about STRESS!!

And today's shopping wasn't even for fun. I had to go out and get our dental accounts their annual "thank you for your business" gifts. I'm not saying I don't wanna give to them, it's just not much of a fun shopping experience.
