Prayers for friend

All, we really need everyones prayers. I have mentioned before about one of my dear friends breast cancer coming back. It is a real struggle for her everyday. They had her on a type of chemo for a month, then checked to see if they were getting anywhere.

It did not work, infact her results came in 4 times worse. So, they changed her chemo meds. This medicine causes her skin to turn really dark, hair fall out, she gets sores in her mouth, and her hands and feet are very raw.

They ran a test after the first month on the meds, since she is having such a hard time with it. They are working. Her numbers went down. Not a lot, but they went down instead of up. So she is going to stay on them.

Her husband has been great by her side all this time. He had not been feeling well and they thought he had bronchitis and got run down. It turns out that he has cancer too! He has peritoneal mesothelioma . They see some spots on his lungs and are going to do a pet scan to see if its cancer too. If it is not then they will do surgery and try to remove as much of the cancer as possible (they will have to fo to MD Anderson in Houston). If it is then they will not do the surgery.

They are going to schedule the PET scan for this week. Please keep these dear friends of mine in your prayers.

Oh my, what sad news. I do pray that God will comfort them and heal the cancer.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the Troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly asks that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that what soever You do, You do for the love us. Amen.

How sad .. I will keep this couple in my prayers and hope everything turns out well for both of them.

Ladies, My Dear Friend did not get good news today. Here blood work came back with the tumor cells doubling again. That means that this horrible chemo she has been doing, did not work. They are going to try another one tomorrow. Her husbands tests are not looking good either. They have to do a biopsy on his lung. The pet scan came back with a hot spot.

Please help me pray that they find a chemo drug that will work to fight her cancer.

This poor couple. I can't imagine what they're going through. They're still in my prayers.

Their Dr is scheduling them an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston. I really pray they can find a chemo drug to help both of them.

Michelle I will continue to pray for both of them how sad.. I hope they can find the right drug for both of them..

Michelle, I am so sorry for your friends. I know how hard it is to go through all the treatments and tests. I know it is also hard for you as their friend. I have a co-worker who lost an 11 year old niece to cancer. There is just not much you can do or say except give them your love. This is why I am so determined to do Relay for Life and other projects in the future to fight this dreadful disease.
