I got to play doctor.....
Yesterday Jaci and I were in the basement when I got a phone call. It was my granddaughter, Kera, and she needed me to come over right away (they live just on the other side of a pond from us). Jaci and I jumped in her pickup and went over. When we got there Daya was in the living room crying. She had refilled a stapler and then had stapled her finger! I was expecting it to just be one side of a staple in.......but no......she had the staple neatly and completely in her finger!!! I knew that if I just took my finger nails to it I could get it out but she'd probably cry harder so I took a knife with a small blade and faced her behind me where she couldn't see.
 Then I took her arm under my arm and with the blade popped the staple out. She cried a little but it was out and done. We let it bleed a little then put peroxide on it. In a little while she was laughing and feeling better.........just wait until she gets my bill for surgery and a home visit!!!......She won't be laughing then!!!!!!

I swear Diana! You did it to me again........start out with something serious and then you have me cracking up laughing!
 Poor Daya. I bet that hurt like crazy for a minute though! Good job Dr Grandma! Have your billing dept. go easy on her!

Did you take your Dr bag with all your supplies??? So glad it wasn't anything serious...poor girl!!!

I just now realized that I fibbed
 ........I said that I "jumped" into Jaci's pickup........actually it was more like I slowly got one cheek on the seat then pulled myself up so I could get the other cheek on the seat!! Sorry about that error!!!!
