Facebook Warnings!!

I really like Facebook...being able to see what everyone is up to, but we need to be very careful. I don't think I will be accepting anymore of those application things.

Thanks for the article Janet. You really can't be too careful these days., There are a lot of things I just don't do online anymore.

I got a offer for 2 free pounds of Gevalia coffee and a car mug. All you do is sign up, they send you the items, and then you email them that you are cancelling the membership. They used to send these nice little coffeepots the same way.

I started to fill in the info, and then they asked me for my charge card number. I didn't finish, and just closed the site. I only like to shop at well known sites, like Amazon.com, or if they use Paypal.

I know what you mean Judy. I don't like buying from places I don't know and that's not recommended by someone I would trust.

I'm not enjoying Facebook as much as I was. I do enjoy seeing what some of my family members are doing and of course my friends....but I'm just too nervous to accept anything so I hope no one gets offended. Maybe I should put that on my page there.

I am the same way Janet - for me, facebook is just an open email - cause I won't accept anything from anyone - I just don't know what is safe and what is not safe, so I just don't accept anything. Like you, I hope no one is offended!

I do like reading my wild bachelor nephew's page - WHEW! I'm SURE his parents are not on facebook. LOL!!!!

I found one of my bus students on Facebook and I'm sure her parents don't know a thing about it. 8th grade girl and it says she's interested in men....sounds like trouble to me.

I found Jaci on Facebook and she wasn't suppose to be on it. She didn't have anything upsetting on her page or anything. She was keeping in touch with friends, but she was still in trouble for disobeying me. I guess, if that's the worst thing she ever does then I'm a lucky Mom because she doesn't cause me hardly any problems at all!!!

As long as she doesn't accept things and get a virus, it looks pretty harmless, although I really don't know. At least now you can check it once in awhile.

I only accept people that i know from other sites, and those in my buddie list.
