I remember getting lawn mower gas at the Webb Oil Station with a quarter and I rode my bike to go get it. I was probably around 8 or 9 years old, but we could do that then.

The reason I remember Dad getting upset when it went to 26 cents is because it scared me. I thought if we kept buying it we were going to be poor.

And 55 years later, that came true!
