I had the BEST time

Last Friday, I was sitting in my office at school, when an old friend walked through the door and I was so stunned and happy to see her. I hadn't seen her in a couple of years. We had gone to school together in the early 90's when we were both in the PhD program at the University of Texas. There were several others that still live within 60 miles of Austin in school with us at the same time. So we contacted 3 others and planned a get together this evening.

It was so much fun. We see each other about every 1-2 years, so it's not like it has been 20 years, but we know each other really well and we know each others kids/grandkids, so we were able to get caught up on all our families. We gabbed for 3 hours, and could have gone on for more, but we had to get home in time to get to bed and get up for work tomorrow.

I just love getting caught up with old friends.
