The reason they let school out when it begins to snow where Sheryl lives, is because of all the hills and curvy roads. All it takes is a little bit of something slick and the roads turn really dangerous. I have cousins that live in her area and they would be out of school for weeks sometimes. That's exactly it Diana - The kids are happy when they get snow breaks but then whine when they have to make up those days.

Call it "red neck" entertainment but when it snows, Robert and I sit out on our deck and watch people attempt to make it (sometimes even try to go down) on our snow covered dirt road. It's a pretty steep hill and just not anything to give traction. Year after year we are amused by such things, LOL. The best probably so far was a school bus (sorry Janet) one year and our UPS driver the next.

Gosh, now i wish it would snow. I havent been entertained for quite sometime.
