I got a promotion!!!!

I interviewed for it today with my bosses boss and some other guy. I did really well, but was told at the end of the interview that she was interviewing others through next week and would know after that. Then, as I was leaving, she asked when I go home. I told her right now, but if she needed something that I can stick around for a few minutes.

For those that don't know, I turned down a similar position back in November/December, which really pissed some people off, as they had already hired the replacement for my old position. The had to rush and promote someone else, so they hired Lucas. To date, Lucas has not sold a DIME on that desk, so I am pretty confident that I made the right decision there. Still, that makes me look bad in their eyes, and hard to get promoted.

So anyway, this position is more of a consultative role, which I like. More responsibility and busy work. Its a pretty good raise, and the commission is a lot better than what I get in my current position. Its still not what I need/want/should make, but it will hold me over until I find something that is better for me. Only bad part of it is that I am still stuck under the same stupid *$(^$# of a boss.
