Miracles DO happen!
I've been fighting for months with the IRS. After all this time they finally decided to let me know that my 2004 and 2005 tax filings had been rejected, so withheld my 2007 refund of over $2000 until they get it all straightened out.
SO I've gotten outrageous statements in the mail from them... the last one informed me that I owed $5,700 for 2005 alone. Today I got a REFUND check for 2005 and a written apology from them for any inconvenience they may have caused me. **faint** I still have to wait on the 2004 filing, but this is a small miracle... when does the IRS ever admit they were wrong and apologize?!?! I hope the 2004 filing goes as well and they send me me 2007 refund soon too!
