Sometimes kids that age have a heart murmur that comes and goes. My granddaughter did (she is 2). Only two times did it show up at the pediatricians office. We took her to a pediatric cardiologist who did an ekg and said it was nothing and common in kids that age. But it does need to be checked out to be sure it is nothing.

I would definitely be changing pediatricians, for the ear fluid problem - that is not right.
