Hey Judy, I think Nature's Variety raw is a very good food! It has completely cured my picky eater and I think both boys are healthier and more active. They don't have any allergy or ear problems, but I think they just do better on the food.

I also use paper plates and I use plastic spoons to cut it up (they want it cut up ) so that I don't have to think about raw meat bacteria. I feed Solid Gold Wee Bits hard food for their teeth. They do great on that combination.

Where do you get these foods? I don't even know where to begin to look. Is it pure meat?

Nature's Variety is pure meat. You can get a different brand, not Nature's Variety, of frozen raw meat at PetSmart.

There is a store locator at the Nature'sVariety.com website See below for locations in your city. There are several. You can also register for a coupon for a free bag (buy one get one free). They've sent me 2 free coupons so far. It really helps because the food is expensive. I feed 2 medallions to each dog each day, Judy only feeds one to each dog. There are 48 medallions in each bag. For the hard food, I'd just feed anything high quality, organic (no fillers or dyes to cause allergies) and that is lamb formula.

There are other brands. As long as it contains raw meat, ground bone, and a good assortment of veggies, you're good to go. I would look at the Nature's Variety ingredient list and try to match it if you have a different raw food near you.

I am going to try Oma's raw food because it is available right nearby. It has the same ingredients essentially.

Judy, the store locator indicated there are several stores in her area that carry Nature's Variety - but I agree, other brands are probably just as good. Did you see where you can register for a coupon and get a free bag - buy one, get one free. I did that and then they sent me another coupon - so I got TWO free bags. Just go to NaturesVariety.com and you too, can get the free coupon.

Thanks Gayle! I can save $17 and I'm sure I can find something to buy with it!
