Hectic!

I know my brother deserves better than her, but he will do anything to stay together because the little girls consider him their daddy now. She was threatening to leave and packing up her stuff but he did all he could to calm her down, and doesn't want the rest of us to do anything to make her upset. Obviously none of us TRIED to make her upset. It started from her overhearing my mom saying she wished she would offer to help out in the kitchen when they visited. I know I had issues with Scott's mom as well but we settled it privately and I never tried to bring the rest of his family into it. I really hope she doesn't limit the time we can spend with the little girls, because we all really love them. I rarely see them anymore.

Diana, I don't know if there is anything really reportable in the hotel room... the bedding and towels were clean, but we did choose the cheapest place and they let Layla stay there free of charge (even though there was a sign on the door saying no pets allowed!). I guess next time we'll know we get what we pay for!

I can't believe there's only a few days left to pack! I still have a lot of clothes and some shoes to pack, and we haven't even STARTED on the kitchen yet!

I don't think I'll be taking any time off work either. I thought I might take next Monday off, but I'm already taking so much time off for bank appointments, lawyer meetings, etc, that I don't think I should take any more. I thought it would be nice to be there with Layla for a full day though, instead of leaving her alone for a whole day not long after she gets there!

Oh Lindsay! I'm so excited for you, I can't believe that you are moving into MY dream house. Sorry Diana, it's MY dream house, you'll have to find another! LOL! Just like Diana, I always wanted an old Victorian house - but alas, never will. I'll just have to come visit!

You will get through the move and it will be soooo stressful, but soooo worth it in the end!

Oh my goodness, I thought we had all our ducks in a row, and then it hit me this morning that we forgot to get insurance!!! So after our bank meeting we went to get insurance and we sat there choosing our policy for over an hour So on top of taking an hour and a half of banked time, I also lost my whole lunch break! Tomorrow we're going to the lawyer to sign papers. Not only will I be glad to be done with all of this, I'm sure my work will be too... As soon as I leave, everyone needs me! Oh well, serves them right for not hiring a second drafter!

I can't believe you are moving so soon! I feel for you about packing, paperwork, lawyers, etc. Lots of stress! Try to take it one minute at a time. I am so glad that you have Scott by your side Linds! Together, you two will help each other get through the move, and then you can love being in your own, absolutely beautiful, new house!

Sorry about the evil girlfriend, and the spidery hotel room! Yuck to both! She doesn't know how lucky she is to be a part of your family! You are right to ignore it. Everything eventually works out, and the less drama the better.

Thank you so much Judy!! I'm starting to calm down tonight. We're on the phone now pricing out monitoring for our security system, because it gives us BIG breaks on insurance! I'm starting to calm down a bit. I just can't wait for it to be next week already so I won't have to stress anymore! I am so lucky to have Scott with me this time around. I was stressed out buying the condo too, but this is so much bigger! And it's funny, one of us always seems to be stressing out while the other one isn't. It's a nice balance! Lol

I just talked with my mom and she's sad that she has to work this weekend and won't be here to help us move. She's doing her part anyway, slicing up some ham and turkey and sending it with a box full of buns, butter, veggies, paper plates, and plastic utensils, so we don't have to worry about making something to eat for lunch while we're moving Yay for moms!
