It does seem pretty scary! But my sister said that it doesn't take long. I wonder if they Dr. will allow me to take a Xanax before I go into surgery! LOL

A couple of Xanax would be the only way I could do it. I saw how it's done once on the Discovery or Health channel. If they could put me out and I could afford it, you bet I would have it done.

My daughter-in-law had this done just last week. She's gotten along really good with it. I haven't talked with her to ask how her vision is doing.

My Mom and an aunt had it done about the same time a few years ago. Mom got along fine, but my aunt had a retina detach soon afterwards and now has wavy vision in one eye that can't be corrected. Somehow the surgery made her eye more likely to have this problem.
