Last night we had thunder and lightning, this morning...rain and more rain, this afternoon sleet and snow. Mother Nature...are you enjoying yourself? Okay...the jokes over now....where the heck is spring?

The snow is finally melting!!!
I can actually see some grass on my hill, and my steps are pretty snow free! It rained, which got rid of a lot, but we also have big flooding problems in the area. I'm on top of a mountain, and don't get flooding...just more snow. It also is warming up enough. We are in the higher 30's, low 40's which is a good sign. Warms my heart to think of Spring again!!!

I think that by now we're all ready for spring.....even me!!! We've been having some really nice days but then they're followed by some cooler days but it's definitely warming up!! The redbud trees are just about to start blooming!! I can't wait because our hillside and driveway are dotted with them!!! I also saw some daffodils blooming......YAY

It's been getting above freezing the past couple of days here too! Yesterday the sun was shining and the streets were full of water from the melting snow! We got a ton of snow this year and the water table is really high too so there is the possibility of a lot of flooding if these temperatures keep up! The city has already hauled away the snow from the ditches and meridians. I hope spring is here to stay! With these temperatures, the snow could be totally gone in a couple of weeks!

My mom said they still have tons of snow out there, although they didn't get the blizzard we got last night. When all the snow was melting here a couple of days ago, they still had 5 feet of snow in their back yard!
