Phew!!! Done with this at last!
The charge was dismissed, the headlight ticket was dismissed, and the judge, who was a funny, very nice woman, the ADA, and the court officer all laughed at the other charge (carrying meds in a non-prescription bottle). She was very honest and said they gave that one to me because they need money, so she gave me a $20 fine because if she didn't fine me at all, they would get on her! The fine can go up to $50. I have no record, which is really what I cared about. The judge is originally a cop from Bed Stuy (a VERY rough Brooklyn neighborhood), so we compared war stories from my teaching and her policing experiences. She also peppered her stories saying the f word more times than in the movie Goodfella! All in all, I have to say that it was a fun time, I met some nice people, and I left, with it all behind me, and with birthday wishes from everyone in the court! Just goes to show you...anything can be fun!

Judy...you are so fun....you are one of few who can make lemonade out of lemons. So glad you had such a great time in court and that they all wished you a happy birthday. Can't get much better than that.
