Another Niece or Nephew

My nieces shower is this coming Saturday, the 3rd. Sounds terrible, but I'm not really wanting to go. It's been so long since I've been around any family really that I feel terribly uncomfortable around them.

I'll go for a little while and see how it goes and if I feel uncomfortable I'll excuse myself. Not sure I'll know any of her friends really so I'll go and give it a try.

That's what I would do, go and if I don't feel comfortable, then make a quick exit!

I did go to the shower. It was nice and I stayed, but only because it would have been too noticeable for me to leave. Spoke a few words with my sister-in-law (she was kind of busy helping out), my other sister-in-law was there too (the bad witch) and we didn't speak. My older niece didn't really speak either but then again, neither did I except for 'hello'.

My pregnant niece was good. She is so ready to be over the pregnancy, but still has 9 weeks to go. She is absolutely huge. Dusti received a lot of nice things for only 13 people attending. The shower was just family so the bad witch and I were the only ones from my side. The rest were from the good witch side. Bad way to describe, but it's the truth.

I was glad to be able to come home.

It was my friend Judy's birthday so I took her out for supper and we had a really nice time.

I describe my two sisters similar.
One is evil and the other one is lessor of the two evils.
Sad but true.

Can't pick out our relation, but friends are those we choose... and glad you were able to close the day on a good note and spend time with a true friend!

My niece had her baby last Tuesday, the 8th, but no one has called to tell me. I saw it on Facebook. The little guys name is Carter and that's all I know. A friend of hers posted a picture of him.....

Reminds me of Dusti when she was born. Dusti is my niece and the daughter of my older brother Jerry. Guess I was good enough to invite to the shower for a gift, but not an acknowledgement that my great nephew was born.
