I've seen the movie Ladder 49 and it is definitely one that you need to have a box of tissues handly. My husband is a rural volunteer fireman and they don't have the protective gear that your boyfriend has, but they very seldom fight house fires. They mostly go to fires that are pasture fires. Some of them are pretty dangerous. My 14 yr old daughter goes with him sometimes.
