Wow, this site it the best. We get to talk about anything!!!! Baking is my thing!!! But can't bake often due to the calories. I usually bake and then give it away!!

Here's my pecan pie recipe. Get's rave reviews from everyone who trys it:

Pecan Pie

1 to 2 cups of the highest quality pecan halves that you can find
1 scant cup brown sugar
1 tblsp. butter, melted
1 cup light Karo syrup
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 whole eggs

Place pecans in unbaked pie shell. Pour mix of remaining ingredients over pecans, making sure all pecans are coated with the filling. Bake in 300° oven for 1 hour or until pie filling does not adhere to knife inserted into it.

I sent this recipe to some customers in New Jersey with a bag of pecans. They were so excited to get the pecans that they ate them raw and never made the pie. Hope everyone who wants to make this can find decent pecans where you are.

My husband love Pecan Pie, so I'll definitely try that. I've tried other and well I'm not real good at it, so I'll let ya know....

Well if anyone else has a really good recipe, why not post it? Especially with the holidays coming up. Let me tell you have 32 years of marriage I can use a different one. Do any of you get the Taste of Home magazine? It has wonderful recipes and beautiful pictures.

My son and I enter the cookie contest every year at the county fair and he usually beats me everytime. He has gotten alot of first place ribbons. I've had one and a few seconds, but he loves to bake and cook. Don't have any idea where he got that from...LOL

I really enjoy reading "Taste Of Home" magazine. I will try to think of a different and good recipe to share. Right now my mind is a blank.
