Wow, what happens if there if a medical emergency???
I get freaked out if we are too far from really good medical facilities. I've taken my hubby to the emergency room twice when we were traveling. Our home is 5 minutes from a competent trama center, and we've used it a couple of times, once for very critical care.

Scary isn't it. When there is a medical emergency in out county when weather is like this, the ambulance has a snow plow drive in front of them. Not near as fast, but at least they get there.
I'll have to go out (as much as I hate to) and take pictures. The snow is up to my kitchen window. No way to get out of our drive. All we have is a little plow on our lawn mower, so it will be slow going unless one of the neighbors comes to clean us out.

I'm glad you're all safe and doing alright! We've had very little snow in the past few years, but I definitely remember years when that wasn't the case.
One thing you might consider in case the elect does go out, is to have your cell phones fully charged ahead of time so you can at least call for help should you need it. It's below zero here again, but we really have very little snow. I wonder how deep the frost is going to be given those 2 factors. LOL
