I'm a big Talk Radio fan (yeah, yeah) and I heard them talking about this the other day. The talk show host was joking about how many calories are in the "diet foods" he ate for dinner and how long it took him to burn X-amount of calories on the treadmill.

Lifestyle changes work - like just cutting out fast-food altogether. Or cutting out fried and greasy foods....or even eating smaller portions, more often during the day. My husband started the "smaller, more frequent meals" thing and he's really done well with it, looks better, feels better, etc.

I'm thinking of doing the South Beach, and I have to say that this article was really depressing, and not motivating. True. It's about lifestyle changes...

Hannah, I did the South Beach Diet and lost about 50 lbs, but you gain it back the minute you go off or enter another phase. At least that's what happened with me and a few others that were on it. If you try it, I do hope it works for you.

Wow, this article was not very motivational...I hope it isn't true because a lot of people really try hard to diet and lose weight. Maybe the fact that the didn't study exercise as part of the diet is a factor in the negative outcomes?
