I agree with Kimberly. As we grow older, move away from family and dear friends, we lose touch. Life has a way of interferring. I am so guilty of that! My absolute best friend in the whole, wide world has not called me or written me in 2 years - but as you said, it works 2 ways and I've not called her. She lives outside Pensacola where I grew up - I go back to visit my family there but never think to call her until I'm half-way back home! I just get caught up with my sister and her family that I just simply forget or tell myself I'll call tomorrow. If you have their addresses or a way to get it, make the first step - send a card to let them know you're thinking of them - they may be sitting there thinking the same thing as you so break the ice first.
