Haha, funny story. Those are beautiful dogs but they eat SO much! After having a yorkie, that takes a long time to go thru a bag a food it would be quite a shoker to have to feed a dog massive amounts!

I had a Great Dane who lived to be 12 years old. She was a beautiful dog, and without a doubt the smartest dog I have ever owned.
I also had a Great Dane / Lab mix who looked all Great Dane.

This breed is wonderful! My all time favorite breed is the Dane. Very loyal, intelligent, great judge of character. My dogs are house companions, so at one time I did have my Dane in an apartment!

You would be surprised at the amount of food they eat. Not much really when you look at their size. I have a small Lab now who eats as much as the Dane did.

They think they are lap dogs. Alana used to back up and sit on my lap. Front feet on the floor, sitting there like a person! Or sat on the couch same way.. I really miss her. Great dog.

You can't go wrong having a Dane. I recommend the breed highly.

We have a 150 lb Mastiff too, so we are used to going through 20 lbs or more of dog food a week!

SO CUTE!!!!!!!! The breeder I got my yorkies from also breeds Great Danes. I tell people that my yorkies were born next to Great Danes so they think they are big like them. They really do!

LOL! How funny! Marty was born in a house with one Great Dane so I guess I could say the same thing about him. hehe
