Thanks ladies. The rash went away right after he took the medicine, but we're keeping our distance for a few more days just to be on the safe side. As for what may have caused that kind of allergic reaction, we have no idea! We spent over an hour at the clinic going over what it might have been. They asked every question imaginable and he's not come in contact with anything new in the past few days, no outside work, no new clothes, no new food, no new dryer sheets or hygiene products...it's a mystery!

The medication makes him "euphoric" though which is quite funny. He laughs constantly for about 30 minutes before he gets back to normal.

Glad it's all clearing up phew! It's strange the affect meds can have on people, but hes happy, and laughing, so all is good

We are pretty lucky. The doctor said it would either make him VERY VERY happy or VERY VERY depressed. I'd prefer the euphoria any day! He was laughing so much that me and our friends just couldn't help but laugh with (at) him as well. It was the funniest thing--four adults sitting around a table just laughing hysterically for no reason at all! We did eventually finish our card game, after Brendon finally calmed down. lol

LOL, I would, but the pharmacist said it's very important to take ALL of the pills because it has to be tapered off (ie he started out with five pills/day and be the end he'll only have one).

Besides, it made him depressed rather than euphoric today, and you don't want that!

I guess you'll have to find something else to give you that "happy" feeling. lol. Maybe a margarita?

Oh Angie,

I missed all of this. I'm so sorry you can't see Mom for a few days. That must be upsetting.

How's Brendon now? I hope his rash goes the way it came. Is he depressed or euphoric? What strange medicine! Sounds like Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Tell him I hope he feels better!

He says thanks Judy! He's actually feeling fine right now. The medicine only seems to effect him for about 30 minutes once it gets into his system and he took it this morning, so he's doing great. I'll let you know tomorrow whether it makes him happy or sad. Wonder if it has to do with your mood when you take it? Yesterday, we were hanging out with friends and having a great time and that's when he was euphoric, and today, he was in class when it started to affect him and he became depressed...
