That house has soooo much charm. It reminds me of something right out of a story book.

That is wonderful you are living your dreams Judy. I understand totally wanting to find a condo w/ other's taking care of the landscape/pool, etc.

Keep us informed on your searches. It's so fun to look at pictures of homes and such.

Isn't it the most wonderful house? I wish I had some home owner's experience, but there's no sense in learning something I don't really want to learn. It's pretty expensive I think to own an old house like that too.

On the other hand, a condo, a pool for summer, people around, but still privacy if I don't want to be social, sounds really nice.

I envy you so much Judy....knowing what you want and reaching for it. I'm sure you'll find everything you want and then some.

Judy, the house is beautiful but I can understand you being hesitant about owning one. They do have upkeep and other expenses that go with them. If you're used to a condo and love not having to mess with all of the upkeep, yard work, and would like a pool then stick with your guns and stay with a condo. I'm sure that you'll find just the right place for you. Good luck and keep us posted on how the search is going!!!!

We live in a condo Judy so I understand how convenient and appealing that could be. It's nice to never have to worry about yard upkeep and such. We have more time to focus on other things, like spending time together and playing with Marty!

I hope you find the PERFECT community for you! You need a lively and active bunch to keep up with you. lol

I know nothing about condos....do most allow pets? Who takes care of the yard work? Is is sort of like apartments only with two or three living spaces? Color me dumb, but I just don't know much about them.

If she owns the condo, she can have as many pets as she'd like. They are all different about the rules and what they allow on the outside, but the inside is all hers! Renting is a different story...We're lucky that we found a landlord who allows pets. It was only about $400 deposit which isn't bad. It's refundable when we move too. We really had to scour the papers and internet ads though. Almost all of the places to rent around here are "no pets." It's awful!
