I haven't heard of it Tink. I've been spending most of my free time reading up on photography stuff or watching debates or doing school work. Maybe I could read a good book over spring break if I get all of my papers done.

The first class is the evening of March 3rd.
The book talks about the nature of humans... about why we keep going to war, why we struggle so to forgive, why we often let our ego rule and how it leads us down some pretty sad paths.

The intention of it is to help us all live more consciously rather than simply reacting to the world based on the things above. It's not about religion, but it is spiritual in that it attempts to teach how to be more at peace and more accepting of others.

I've not read much yet, and it's going to take a while to read simply because it's a book you really do need to think about to understand. The classes don't start till the 3rd, but there is a workbook online and other small "assignments" that you need to do prior to the class. Registration and the classes are free.

How was the book and class, Tink? Oprah has been getting some bad press because of this book, which seems to make it even more interesting and I kind of want to read it now!

Lindsey, they had problems with the huge number of people in attendance and so the live feed was very poor. I got frustrated after 2 such sessions and gave it up. I haven't finished the book yet, as it seems a bit to "New World" to really get into for me. I've been told you might have to read it a couple times to get the full intent... but not sure I'm into being brainwashed by a book. lol

Lol yeah that's what I heard about it, that it's a bit cult-ish. I don't like books that you can't understand the first time!
