I had vertigo a few years ago. I had it for months at the same time I was really getting hot flashes. So if I wasn't dizzy, I was flashing. Making a left turn in the car was a little dangerous because the world would be spinning after.

I was so annoyed because I was also on sabbatical, and wasn't going to let anything ruin it. I had trouble shopping because I couldn't look at things that required putting my head back.

I finally found a great doctor who told me that sometimes, after sinusitis, little
thingies (I forgot what they are) break loose. There are tiny hairs in the ear which control balance. If one of these thingies hits the hairs, it causes dizziness.

He laid me on a table, made me go into the positions that made me dizzy, did something to my head, and it was gone! I was shocked that it was so easy to treat.

I love that doctor! He's an otolaryngologist.
Thanks for letting me know what kind of a Doctor he was. I did some research on WebMd and learned about those "thingies", it said to take Benadryl, fruit juices, and antibiotics which I did and today I am much better. Will find an Otolaryngolosgist if I don't get better. My health ins. just went up $150 a month with a $2500 deductible, 80/20. My husband is going to go nuts.

Thanks for all of the info.

I'm so glad you feel better today. Hopefully, you'll be able to treat it yourself without spending so much on as doctor.
