I was in 11th grade, it was Blast From the Past day for Welcome Week. I was all decked out in 60's attire! My whole class was following my teacher to the library, and I had no idea what was going on, everyone was just talking and chattering as usual. There was a tv set up and we sat down and watched and within seconds the whole mood completely changed. We were there for the whole morning I think, glued to the tv. We later went back to our classes and had 2 minutes of silence throughout the school.

11th grade. Lindsey you are a young one...

I remember this day vividly, my husband worked in the building the first time it was bombed, then he moved across the street to another building a few years later. That morning he was coming out of the Path train in the Tower and was oblivious to it all. Luckily the building didn't collapse as they were approaching the station. It took him several hrs. to call and come home but he was lucky both times. He had seen people jumping from building it was horrible, it is a day we Americans will never forget.
He is reminded everyday for his office window faces the pit...

Still feels like it was yesterday, I can't believe this many years have passed.
May everyones family be blessed.

God bless America, my home sweet home

(Massachusetts girl here too. Though my life is in Baltimore, part of my heart lives in Worcester County!)
