I know this is going to sound so terrible, but the person who impacted my life the most is my mother. Not because she taught me well, but because I don't want to be like her. I LOVE MY MOM!!! please do not misunderstand that and she is funny. BUT, she is very selfish, wants to debate everything. My nieces (they are 26 and 31) have always called her "miss knowitall", behind her back of course. Was and has not been a very loving grandmother...her motto: I raised mine, I'm done!!!
So she influenced me the most in how not to be!!

I have to say that I also learned how NOT to be from my mother. It doens't sound terrible because I feel the same way. In fact things are so bad that i walked away from it all 10 years ago. I refused to let my daughter be involved in any part of it. So needless to say my mother has never laid eyes on my daughter excpet maybe in pictures that my grandmother has. My mother has abused me, lied to me and everyone all the time. If it is raining out she will lie to your face and tell you it is nice and sunny. She has lied to others about me. She tried to make up lies to break up my marriage. Now I am not the only one she has done this too, there have been others. SOOOO.. Long story short. When I think back she taught me a lot that I never even realized.

I was trying to choose between my mom and dad....but i can't! BOTH my parents are amazing. I have learned different things from each one, but they've had an equal impact on my life. I could only hope to have the marriage they have. My mom is my best friend in the entire world, and I'm a total daddy's girl. My parents have taught me honesty, religion, integrity, and especially love. I thank God for them everyday

This is a really hard question, actually. I learned a lot from my aunt... more life lessons from her. But I think I've learned to be who I am from my mom. She didn't "teach" me, but I learned. Every day I see myself starting to become more and more like her. Most people say "Oh man, I'm becoming my mother!" as if it's a bad thing. My mom is an excellent role model and I get much joy knowing that I am becoming more like her. Things were rough... really rough... between us when I was a teenager. I love her so much though. I miss her more than anything. She's still in Washington. I moved down to AZ a couple months ago and saying goodbye to her was the hardest thing about moving. Okay, I have to stop, my eyes are starting to tear up. Anyway, sorry to ramble on and on. Basically, I would say I learned most from my mom.
