Oh, that poor guy. I'm sure he was in lots of pain during the transfer. I'm so sorry, I hope he gets pain relief soon!

That sounds horrible that he was in so much pain! I'll continue to keep your grandfather in my prayers. I just feel so bad for him.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. He didn't look good last night. And when he went in to the hospital he could walk on his own with a cane, but last night me & a male nurse were trying to get him to the bathroom & he couldn't walk at all. I am so worried about him. The surgery is tommorow so hopefully he'll get to feeling better. Maybe he's just loopy from the pain meds & that's why he can't walk. I guess if the inability to walk is now permanent it's okay because he already has an electric wheelchair & a wheel chair accessible van, but he liked being able to walk. I just worry about him so much. He seems confused & sad. I just want him to feel better again.

It shows how much you love him and it just warms my heart. I'll keep him on my prayer list.

If he gets through this, he will probably be able to walk again, if they send him to a rehab facility for physical therapy. It all depends on how long his is "down" in bed. The longer he is unable to get up and around (even sit in the chair), the more difficult it will be for him to be able to walk again on his own.

G-pa came through the surgery fine. The bones were starting to heal so that's good & bad. A little extra pain because the surgeon had to break them apart, but it's good that it will heal. He was pretty out of it last night, but his sense of humor was in tact & his vitals were good. Hopefully they let him come back to our hospital for a few days & work on his walking. Thanks for all the prayers.
