Your life is so interesting Judy - I can imagine having a completely different life in summer and winter and how different and fun it would be. I bet after a few seasons, that winter will be almost as effortless as summer. Yes, the pool is closer than the "mingling" places, but after you are established, so to speak, it may be just as easy. I just think it is so neat to have two completely different "seasons" of friendships. Me, I just have the same ole, same ole all year long! LOL!!!!

Oh Judy, I just hate that lonesome feeling! I wish you could find just one really good friend to help fill your days and/or nights

I would think that now there's not as many people to socialize with that you could concentrate more on your pottery, writing, and yoga, the things that are more for you. However, if I know you you'll find some friends soon and will be having a great time!!! It sounds like an interesting life!!!

Judy, your life does sound interesting, and you have your family near. I'm sure there will be school events to attend. It's difficult to be content where we are, wherever that is. I'm wanting more time to myself to do the things I want to do, and others want other things. We all need to be careful what we wish for and try to find contentment where we are. I'm saying this as much to myself as to anyone who may choose to read this.

Judy I agree with the other ladies.. You need to find a good friend or two to have all year round.. I am sure by joining the clubs that you have you will meet.. A great man is not a bad idea, sometimes hard to come by. lol Whatever you do I am sure you will make new friends and have a wonderful winter being involved with all your clubs.

Judy, I wish I were closer.. I would keep you busy!!
I love my alone time, but also make sure I stay active. It's still fun to go antqueing and go to small shops for a day trip alone, or with someone. I love to browse shops... don't have to buy, but sure do love to look. And in doing so, I chat with others doing the same thing. So while I am alone, I am never alone. That sounds a little odd doesn't it?? ![]() |

The reality is that I am just loving being alone, and having my own time to do whatever I want. You are all right. I do have an interesting life, and I love both parts of it.
I found a pottery group, which I am considering joining. It is so reasonably priced too! No firing fees either (using the kiln). Those fees can cost a fortune! I once made a vase that cost me $90 to fire. It was really big. I didn't like the way it came out either! I did give it as a gift to someone I love, so at least it didn't go to waste. I also am on my way to finding a group to meditate with. I also found a Shakespeare worksdhop, led by a Professor who teaches Shakespeare. I am going to try it out. I love the Bard, but it is too hard to figure out what he is saying. I'm also way too lazy to do it on my own. The only problem all of these activities present is that I have to follow some sort of schedule. I love having no structure. It really suits me.
