I agree mowing a slope is too much like work. It's also dangerous! I have an uncle who cut his big toe off when his mower rolled back over his foot.  I bet your slope looks prettier with flowers and shrubs on it anyway! I absolutely love a casual cottage type lawn filled with plants.
