Here's a recipe that we use for Cream Gravy:
1/2 cup butter 3 cups milk 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup flour In a small sauce pan, melt butter and set aside. Heat milk in large skillet. Add bouillon cubes and pepper. Gradually add flour to melted butter, stirring constantly with wire whisk. The stir flour mixture into milk, again using wisk. Thin to desired consistency with additional milk. Never, ever lumps. Credit: Contributed by Dayna De La Vergne, San Antonio, TX to Texas Favorites, A Collection of Family Recipes, Copyright 1985, H.E. Butt Grocery Company, printed by Hart Graphics, Inc., Austin, Texas. We sometimes add browned ground meat to this or a combination of bround ground beef and sausage. Serves well over bisquits. Would be a good gravy to serve as is with Chicken Fried Steak. Enjoy!!
