We didn't have as much rain as I would have liked, but any rain is GREAT! We did have a bad thunderstorm this evening too, Betsi. We were in a tornado alert area, but there weren't any tornadoes here. Parts of the city did have bad hail, but I didn't have any at my house. When I saw the storm headed our way on radar, I ran out and put bird netting over the garden - which I needed to do anyway, cuz our strawberries are beginning to turn pink and the birds will eat them if they are not covered with netting.
My daughter was caught out in the hail storm, but was able to get under a shelter so her car was OK. Her friend was not so lucky. She was driving and the hail broke the back window of the car. Her baby was in the carseat in the back seat and he got hit with some glass, but he is OK. Scary!!!!
