Based on the answers you gave...
You have some traditional beliefs, but have not committed to either side.

I think it's high time that gays have the same rights that other partners do. I had a friend since jr high who was gay and when he and his partner of over 23 years had any kind of health issue, the other had NO say in what was done or NOT done for them medically. I felt that was absolutely wrong. As for people abusing the system, I realize it happens and this would be just another area for that possibility, but I feel it's no more apt to happen in this situation than with hetrosexuals.

If it were my child having an abortion, I absolutely would want to know. If they can't pierce their ears without my permission, they sure shouldn't be able to have an abortion without it!

I do feel the US is a great nation. Sure we have problems and imperfections, but at least we have the freedom to say that without being locked up or killed for it! We have so many things that others don't because of where we live that I don't see any other country I'd rather live in. Being born here, I AM biased, but my ancestors came here from Norway just over 100 yrs ago and you can be sure they didn't come because life was so ideal there.

I'm of the mind that no country is perfect, but at least we have the chance to change the things we don't like if we truly put forth the effort. So call me an Independant... lol I know I've been called worse.
