Thanks so much everyone. Dae Lynn has a load of stuff to bring in today but I'm still cleaning out a bedroom and closet so they'll have room for their clothes and for the kids to play without all of my "stuff" around.
Damon is coming home this morning sometime.....his Mother's bringing him. Karlie has been wanting to see her Dad ever since he went to the hospital.....I think that she just wants to make sure that he's alright. Dae Lynn's planning on taking the kids over later today. Hopefully he'll still have his job so he's not home alone with nothing to do. Meetings with people who care and will council him are being set up and hopefully he'll stick with them and find help. I'm not sure if he can go to the VA because I'm not sure that he had an honorable discharge. I'll have to check on that because there's a hospital at Wichita. We're just taking things a day at a time to see what goes on. I really think that he's crying out for help......we just don't know what to do. It's really hard to think of the consequences if he doesn't get help and is on his own. I DO know that God is good and He is the answer so please continue to keep us in your prayers. I love all of you for your support!!!! |

Oh goodness Diana! How difficult this must be for all of you. It is really wonderful though that you get Karlie! DaeLynn, Dean and Karlie will need you and Glen now.
Damon has pulled through before. I will pray for all of you, and pray that he finds the strength to do what he has to do. My heart goes out to all of you. Damon does not have it easy! My SIL sometimes will start drinking, and Jess and I (and the kids) worry, but so far, he stops himself. It is a hard life for the person who is addicted, and so hard for the people who love him!

Dae Lynn decided that it was time for them to go back home this afternoon. It's hard to live away from home. She and Damon are getting along at the moment and he has some appointments set up to start getting help. And he'll be fine until the urge to get a drink comes again and hopefully that won't be for a L.....O.....N....G time........we'll see. Just keep them in your prayers!!
