Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about these issues - I have never practiced with women's health. It seems though, that this drug is used in other countries to treat menstrual disorders. It is true that it is not used in the U.S. but I couldn't find any reason why it is not. Hopefully, it will straighten out the cycles and she can get off it quickly. I do know that sometimes when the cycles get regular, a person can go off the meds and they will stay regular. Of course, that doesn't always happen, but sometimes it does.

Sorry I don't have any more information. I tried to read about the drug but most of the information is in Spanish, and as you know, I don't speak/read Spanish!

No worries, I couldn't find much research in Spanish or Japanese either

They don't seem to be working anyways. Thank you Gayle for looking it up as well makes me feel more at ease
