I won't be getting up early to watch it but I'll probably watch the later reruns!! I've been watching some movies and stuff about the couple and wedding. They seem like a good couple together and I wish them the best. It has to be so hard to live under so much public scrutiny.

I agree it must be so hard! Although it is really nice that he is able to marry who he chooses to marry... if Charles was able to do that, he probably would have ended up with Camilla at the start, instead of being forced to marry Diana, and she probably wouldn't have had such a tragic death... although maybe she wouldn't have had the ability to do so much charity work either.
Did you know that Kate will be the first commoner queen-to-be in over 350 years? She has no royal background at all, no ties to the royal family.

I won't be getting up to early to watch it either but I will definitely watch throughout the day. It is very interesting! I also remember Charles and Diana's wedding. And I agree with you Lynsey...Charles would have no doubt been with Camilla if he had had a choice.

I think I might get up to watch. What time is the actual ceremony? I too, remember Diana and Charles' wedding. It was a fairy tale!

I am on Central Standard Time and we are 7 hours behind London... so 4:00 here will be 11:00 there, when the marriage service begins.

Hi... I too have really enjoyed watching the wedding, and they both looked so happy and comfortable together, it was a wonderful day. I think Charles always had the option to marry Camilla all those years ago, they were actually formally courting each other. However Charles went away on military duties.... and darling Camilla went and married someone else, she chose not to wait for him. I just dont like her at all..... I love most of the Royal family... however i do feel that Charles put Diana through a lot of misery, (I know she was not perfect either), but with Charles still involved with Camilla... their marriage did not stand a chance. Diana herself quoted in an interview "There are three people in this marriage" So sad........

I am not 100% sure, but she has always been very well liked by the Royals, so though she may not have been ideal.... I think he would have gotten the Royal seal of Approval.

Hi Diane! It's so nice to have your perspective! All we get are (mostly) Americanized reports! Anyway, I got up at 4:30AM to watch the wedding and I loved every moment!

This thread, and the one about the elections in Canada have been so interesting! It is great to get the true picture about what is going on in the world.
