How lucky that your daughter is a nurse! I'm sure she knows exactly what to do for her. Oh, her poor feet. ![]() I was thinking how great it is that her great-grandma is still living. That's amazing. You must be a very young grandma. |

I was barely 19 when I had my oldest and my Mom was the same when she had me. So Great-grandma is 71 years old but acts much younger. Fortunately she's in good condition and loves to keep active. She still goes dancing and loves to go for walks around town. SHe babysits the girls a couple times a week or more and enjoys it a lot. She has them overnight and takes them places with her with no hesitation. The little one calls her "G-mama" and is as comfy with her as she is her own parents. The older one (who will be 7 on the 30th) thinks great gramma walks on water. LOL

That is so neat! My mother is 71 also and I had my first at 18. I don't have grandchildren yet, my son and his wife have not had good news in that department, but I keep hoping.........Everyone tells me there's nothing like grandchildren! |

awwwww poor baby! When she's a little older you can tell her a story about a girl named Kimberly (ME) that got the chicken pox when she was 18. She thought it was a zit on her face and when she went with her dad to get her prom dress he informed her that she was COVERED in spots all over her back.
I sat home for my senior prom in my dress, wearing my Prom Queen tiara that was nicely dropped off for me, covered in chicken pox with my dad! So, although it is hard to see her itchy at least she is getting it over with young ![]() |

Oh Kimberly, that would stink!
I thought it was bad enough that I had to miss my last year of trick and treating because I had chicken pox over halloween! LOL khardy57, my daughter had been told she would likely not be able to concieve due to her years of ovarian cysts. She sees her 2 little ones as miracles. I see them as the gold in my golden years. It's true that there's just no comparison to grandkids. You're free to love them, spoil them, and are free OF the tough job that parents have. I have 2 younger kids so hope to have more grands in the future, but am able to focus on these 2 till then.

My daughter in law has polycystic ovaries and went to a fertility specialist earlier this year. She had minor surgery to clean her ovaries up and the Dr. said there was no reason she couldn't get pregnant. My son was tested too. They wanted to give her shots that cost $1000/each ![]() ![]() ![]() |

khardy57, I hope this time next year you'll be talking about how in love you are with your new grandbaby. You seem like someone who would make a wonderful gramma. I'll put you on my prayer list for that to happen. HUGS
