No wonder you are so attached to the house! I'm so glad it's yours, now!

This is wonderful, Janet! Your own place, where you grew up, less to take care of, and wonderful memories!
I'm so glad you feel good about all of this!

When I went to the lawyers office today to take the appraisal in to them, the secretary asked how I wanted it titled. I asked her if it was a good idea to have my son on it with mine and she said "no". That if something should happen that he would default on loans, file bankruptcy that the house could be taken away. That it would be better if I just willed it to him. I had them put it in my name only. I know that if Rick and I should ever divorce, he could fight me for 1/2 of the house, but there are other things I could give up if it comes to that.

That would be really dirty to take away something that was an inheritance. Hopefully it won't ever come to that.
