No, Karlie hasn't been tested for ADHD or ADD. I don't really think that she's either one of those......but maybe in the future we may have to check into it.

I have to say that Karlie is very intelligent. She understands so much and even now, with her in kindergarten, spelling words in front of her is out because she figures out what they are!! I think that her advanced intelligence is part of her problem. She is bored very easily, doesn't really "play" with toys, and demands a lot of attention. She is very manipulative and we have to be careful of falling into one of her schemes. Damon is very intelligent and, I would have to say, that Dae Lynn is the most intelligent of all of my kids as well. Dean seems to be advanced for his age as well.

However, I do have to add that there are two different types of intelligence......one is book smart and the other is, I forget the word. It's like life smart....situation smart. Karlie is extremely book smart......but not smart in life.

I will have to add that the little girl next to Karlie that was acting up is from a very theatrical family!! Her brother and sisters are all like her and the Mom just thinks that it's cute......sometimes it's not!!

Street smart.

My boys are street smart but not really book smart. I do have a booksmart but he doesn't like to study

I don't think Karlie has a problem. She's very energetic but that's very common for her age. I would be worried if she only stayed still.

Actually I think Karlie will be street smart you watch and see.

We call it "Common sense smart". I just couldn't think of the phrase!! Same thing as Street Smart.
