Christmas events

I too love Christmas events, and wish I could attend many more than I do. I like to go to the school christmas musicals, christmas eve church services, and the small christmas parade in town which is tomorrow night.

If the weather is bearable I think I'll go to the parade and will have to find out when the other events are. I need to get back into doing what I enjoy. I also go to my granddaughters sunday school program.

I decided since we didn't have a lot of customers in the bank today,. that it was time to start decorating the place. I hung stockings, put up a wreath, wrapped a large picture that hangs on the wall to look like a gift, and strung crocheted snowflakes from the cieling. I had a couple of customers ask if I'd go home with them to do their homes. LOL It was fun even though I did end up doing it by myself. It seems no one else was in the holiday spirit yet.

We have a few Christmas strolls here on the Cape... some towns put them on... you walk through the town to diffrent shops at night and they all have hot cider and Christmas cookies to offer... there is a hay ride, santa, carolers and all the old fashioned makings for a christmas stroll... It's fun.

Also our church puts on a Christmas eve dinner for the homeless and gives them gifts... they get a big nice dinner, table cloths and candles the whole sha-bang!after they come upstairs for our candle lite Christmas eve service. It is a really nice night and it makes you feel like you are giving to people who are forgotten and alone. It is what Chirtsmas is all about!

What a lovely Christmas season you have. Our town doesn't do very much. Small parade, Santa in his house for the little ones and that's about it. Some of the different church's put on a few small things, but that's about it. Our church is a small country church and we have a program with the children singing. I love to hear children singing Christmas carols, they are always smiling while they sing!!

My son is in a group of singers at school and perform many times during the Christmas season. So dear old mom tries to attend all of them. We have a parade in town and go Christmas caroling and have a Nativity at church. very busy season for us

We are going to a Christmas Dinner theater either Thursday or Friday night at my parents church. My little brother and sister are in the program so we are going to have dinner and watch the show. It is usually a pretty nice Christmas show too. And the food is great! They even serve the people who come to watch.

Our church is having a holiday white elephant party, and us women are having an ornament exchange that works like a white elephant party. My company is having a Christmas party in Houston, but don't know if we are going yet. They had a Holiday party last year in January, and I liked that much better. It was after all the other festivities were over, and was very nice.
