Wellll...
![]() ![]() We all stay up and watch the ball drop and then watch a few of the specials afterwards. Other than that we don't really do anything special.

Now you know Marilyn...everyone would be welcome at my house. I do have to let you know that I'm not much for playing games. Hubby doesn't mind playing games and of course my son likes to, but I'm more of a spectator than a player.
When we were first married we use to play cards once in a while. I think it was uker or something like that...but everytime we played they had to explain it to me again. Use to play poker once in a while too, but could never remember what be what without a cheatsheet. My son and I will play Uno once in a while. It's fun with a lot of people, but really fun with just the two of us.

When I was a younger (3-15) my cousins that lived close (boy & girl) & my brother & I would all go to my grandparents house for new year's eve (so our parents could go out). We'd drink sparkling grape juice play games & watch the ball drop, some of my favorite memories are from that night.
Usually my husband & I don't do much we are usually at his parents house & their isn't much to do around there. Like last year we went & saw a late show of Chronicles of Narnia & then went home & went to bed. This year we are going to be home for New Years & we get to attend my friends new years party. There will be drinking, but my husband will DD for us & we only live about 2 miles from each other on back rounds so we should get home safe. -Just a side note people that drink & drive really upset me, a guy I work with will never get his license back because he's had 3 DUI's I refuse to give him rides to work even on crappy days because I believe he needs to be punished. He totaled 2 cars while drunk by running off the road & he doesn't even feel bad about it. What if he had killed someone? A good friend of mines aunt & uncle were just killed by a drunk driver on the way home from church. I just don't get what goes through peoples minds. If you have to drive home, don't drink period. It's really not that hard. I usually drive myself places if I'm going without my husband because I don't trust anyone, but me to stay sober & get me home. Sorry to go off on a trangent, but people that drink & drive really piss me off. |

Another thing is we should not drive whilst tired a friend was killed when a lorry driver fell asleep at the wheel and drove straight into my friend. We do have lots of campaigns here against drink drive and drive whilst tired hopefully so people take heed. ![]() |
