Rivermom- It was so strange to wake up this morning and find the water pipes frozen to my kitchen! I am a native Southern californian so I haven't experienced this type of thing often. When I pick up poop, they are actually poop-sicles, and my outside trained dogs, stick their heads out of the doggy door and check out to see how cold it is.

We're getting a nice snowstorm right now. So far there's no more than a couple of inches accumulation, but the forecast is for 7" tonight and more tomorrow.
I took Katie out driving today, since she's scheduled to take her behind the wheel exam on Thurs. She drove over 100 miles total and got to do the last 30 - 40 in the snow. She did ok but was a bit nervous about the road conditions. I'm glad to just be home and able to stay put for the night.
