I just get tired of always being a taxi, a cook, a maid and so on. I don't know that I even feel like a wife anymore. I am jsut kinda here. My husband has said before that I need some kind of a hobby. Honestly, it would be nice but who has the time. I would love to feel wanted again. I was just wondering I how many of you have felt like this at some point in time.
I've been in this exact same slump. I know my hubby & I love each other very much but I get so frustrated with the cooking, cleaning & taxi service that I feel like that's all I'm here for. We have 4 kids (3 were mine before we met then 1 together. He claims them all as his kids but only saw the youngest as a baby). We have never been on a "date" without kids. He is 5 almost 6 yrs younger than me & is very much a "homebody". Since I'm stuck at home while he works, I want to get out when he is off. We don't really have anyone to watch the kids for us to do anything & on his off days he just wants to "stay home & relax". Friends disappear when you have four kids, Angie has her hubby, school, thier jobs & our mother still has 2 kids at home, work, & plays taxi for her mother who never learned to drive. His family lives in DC which is 6 hrs away (alittle far to be babysitters lol) & we both have a fear of hiring babysitters & how to know if you can really trust them when even family (people they never suspected) are found to abuse children. So we stay with this same routine. We need a way to break it but that is easier said than done. One person suggested to me that we have "dates" after the kids are asleep...lol. By that time I'm so tired I just want to SLEEP. So you are definitely not alone in this.

Think of it this way "the hussle & bussle" is not going to last forever. In a few years time the kids are grown up, and wont need to be cared for 24/7...

That's when you get all the puppies you've ever wanted. That would keep you busy!!

Hehe, then you still have quite a bit of caring and attending to do...
