As a New Yorker who lived through the RG administration, I will not be voting for him. He handled 9/11 beautifully - I'll give him that, but he's not a nice human being, doesn't care about the middle class, had no respect for teachers, firemen and cops, and cheated on his wife in public, in front of his children. I do think he has mob ties, by the way, but that's in the past. He did many other things in NYC that were really concerned with benefitting big business, and not New Yorkers. I have no idea who I will vote for though. I'm a Democrat and I think I'll be left with Hillary Clinton as a candidate. I have my reservations about her!

Wow, thanks for the insight Judy! Hillary is leading the democratic candidates so far, but not by much. 27% favor Hillary, 21% McCain, and 20% Obama. Those figures are a few days old, but it probably hasn't changed much and I don't remember where I saw it so I can't give proper citation. Sorry.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that Hillary is not the only democratic choice and these figures will definitely go up and down over the next year.

My only wish is that people would not vote along political lines. Maybe that's wrong and I don't want to debate it with anyone. I'm registered as a Republican, but I ALWAYS vote for who I think is the best choice for our country.

I agree completely Janet! There's so much more to a candidate than his/her party...but typically an affiliation can tell you where they stand on most issues. It's important to look at each individual though, as I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread. I was just trying to show that there are other democratic candidates besides Hillary. I wasn't trying to start a debate either.

I'm glad you feel this way Janet. I think it's the best attitude to have.

I agree with you Janet, I am registered Democrat but I have been voting Republican over the years. I am so so on whom to vote for But I can assure you that Hillary will Never get my vote.. Her so called darling husband had a chance to stop the terriorsts after the first attack on the WTC but he did nothing. My husband was lucky he survived both attacks.

Janet - I totally agree with you, but I do think our choices will be Rudy and Hillary. (Sorry Angie - I know you're hoping for Barak)
I might be wrong, it has certainly happened before, in which case, like you, I will not vote for party affiliation.

Judy, I'm crushed!! Lol, just kidding. If nothing comes of Obama this time around, at least his name is out there now and he could definitely be a possibility in 2012. (Wow, that seems so far away...) You can never tell in politics. Things change so quickly!
