What you're feeling makes perfect sense. You enjoyed the time and bonding you shared with your father, but at the same time, you need a normal life and are happy to get back to that. Just be thankful for the time you had together and try to see him as often as you can. There's absolutely nothing to feel guilty about! You are not at all selfish or cold-hearted!

Hope things continue to improve!

It's tough when your parents need help but you still have a family that needs you. You've been a good daughter to be there when your Dad needed you and your family has been great to allow you to be there for him. Now it's time for your family to come first again, but you can still help out your Dad when he needs you. What a treasure to get to know your father better and spend that special time with him. You'll always remember that time with him.

Thanks girls, I'm so glad to be back on here. I didn't know I missed you all that much. But I was wrong. It's nice to have someone to type to and get many
different opionions and ideas. Your all a great group of women.

I completely understand how you feel. I always take my mom to do everything she needs to on Saturday. Since I am sick I feel guilty that I can't do what she needs to but I have to work on getting well myself. I also hate that Angie has been spending so much time with me and interrupting her life. You have been a good daughter and taken care of him, but you also have your life and things you have to take care of.

Mom, don't ever feel bad about us spending so much time with you! We really enjoy being able to see you more often. If anything, that's the silver lining to this whole situation. I love you so much! *hugs*

Cecil, I hope things are still going well for you and your family. Keep us updated if you can.

Cecil.. You are a wonderful daughter and don't you forget that. You took your dad in and took care of him and bonded along the way. Your brother lives close by so don't feel guilty if he needs him he will call him I am sure. You have to get back to your family now and enjoy that beautiful grandchild.... Enjoy..
