Hey Judy welcome back
 Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. I understand how you feel about moving out from Brooklyn been there and done that. Now that you made up with your daughter, may I ask does she live in Brooklyn? You don't want to live to far from her either... Take your time in deciding before you venture out. NYS is a beautiful area, but the winters can be treachous. The furbabies sound like they had fun post some photos when you get a chance.

So brave of you to consider moving alone, the area you have been looking will you know anyone? or are you happy to find new friends?. You come across as a happy go lucky person so sure you will find lots of friends. Good luck with your search. So lucky over there you are able to take your furbies around with you here we are very restricted where we can take them.

I'm not sure how restricted pets are in condos upstate. Within NYC, I don't think it's a problem. Maybe it is in Manhattan.
There are two non-negotiables - wherever I go has to allow pets and has to have a pool.
